Following the success of our V1, the VaultBet team has been hard at work developing the next generation of decentralised sports betting and we are happy to announce that our V2 is on its way!
Drawing on user feedback, we have a range of new features and improvements under testing that promise to deliver a more seamless and enjoyable experience, as well as to widen peer-to-peer sports betting on the Internet Computer.
What to expect from V2?
1) Redesign
For starters, our platform has undergone a complete redesign. We have developed a new front-end with a sleek and modern interface that is both intuitive and user-friendly.
We have changed our display and components to match traditional trading platforms more closely, allowing users to seamlessly apply their existing stock and crypto trading skills to bet trading on a decentralised betting exchange.
Our redesign also includes an option for users to select how market odds are displayed, with a selection between fractional odds (ex:4/1), decimal odds (5.00), percentage odds (20%) and moneyline (+400), in order to accommodate personal preferences.
2) More Wallets
VaultBet V2 will open peer-to-peer bets to the whole Internet Computer ecosystem by allowing for payments from all major wallets. VaultBet V2 will allow for trustless payments and bets from plug wallet, infinity swap and stoic wallet so that the whole of the IC and more can get involved.
We hope to build on these new wallet integrations in future with ideas such as bets on mobile, bets with ckBTC and NFT airdrop rewards for big wins!
3) More Sports Betting Markets
That's not all, we are also expanding the betting markets we offer to include more sports!
We have secured sports data APIs to the NBA, NFL, MLB and rugby. This will allow us to offer trustless betting markets on these sports, with all bets results determined via smart contract https outcalls to these APIs.
Following user feedback, we plan to offer NBA betting markets first, before swiftly rolling out the NFL, MLB and rugby.
