Interview with Egido Val & DKLORD89 : The Next Big Project !

We interviewed Egido Val and DKLORD. Egido is an artist. His work has been shared by many artists and celebrities like Joe Rogan, Asap Rocky, David Choe and more. DKLORD is the author of 1000 OG Medals and owner of the first gated community on DSCVR.

1. Please tell us about you, your name, position in the project, your credentials, etc., so that we can introduce you.

My name is Egido Val and I’ve been an artist for 12 years, it is my passion and I’m always looking for new and exciting ways of expressing my creativity.

So far, I’ve been noticed by many famous artists and celebrities, who shared my creations on their social media, like Joe Rogan, Asap Rocky, David Choe, and many more.

DKLORD89 is the author of the 1000 OG Medals Airdrop on DSCVR, currently trading on Entrepot with over 60.2k ICP in volume, and leads a community in his DSCVR OG Lounge Portal, all his success is thanks to his passion for the adoption of the Internet Computer.

2. How would you describe your artistic style Egido Val?

Original, unique with a complex number of layers behind it. You get the idea at first sight but you need to spend some time looking through it and appreciate all the details and the inspiration behind it. Depending on whether it is physical or digital art I try to exploit its advantages, learn new techniques and enjoy the journey.

3. What drew you to NFT creation rather than traditional canvas-based art?

NFTs offer unique possibilities to my traditional canvas-based artwork, which I’ve been doing for years. The ability to reach a global audience by delivering high-quality art is quite bullish for the future of NFTs hosted on-chain on the Internet Computer.

4. Are there any artists who have inspired you? What do you like about their work?

Many, some are included in my new collection IC Bucks, among them are Picasso, Van Gogh, Goya, Francis Bacon, Basquiat, Frida Kahlo, and Warhol. I highly respect them because they left a huge impact on the world, each one developing their own styles and with profound implications to this day.

5. What made you create NFTs?

Exploring the NFT Environment, I decided that the best blockchain to develop a project is the Internet Computer, because it provides secure, transparent and reliable on-chain hosting, so no more web2 servers like other chains, the NFTs are tradeable gas-free and in just an instant.

I decided to work with DKLORD89 because he is just like me, from the community, and his positive influence and vision, bringing new people and providing high-quality content, is what I value the most, people notice, and a good way to show how much we worked for everyone here is the art, art that speaks for itself.

6. Can you tell us about your project?

IC Bucks is the new cool and exciting NFT that the ICP was missing, a collection inspired by Arts, Money, and Crypto, backed by a strong community of ICP enthusiasts, the OG Medals holders.

They will feature a brand-new utility inside all DSCVR Portals, a Tip System that will allow users to reward content creators on the platform, all thanks to the Developer of DSCVR Rick Porter. IC Bucks will be the first with this exclusive use case.

9. What other art have you seen that excites you in the Internet Computer NFT ecosystem?

Besides OG Medals, we have Martian Drip, an amazing project that is doing a huge collaboration with us, you can notice the high quality and of course, people notice the effort put into it.

I hold several NFTs from various projects, like Space Apes, Internet Humans, Dfinity Deck, ICP Squad, Crypto 90s, and recently bullish on Cosmicrafts, an exciting project that might transform the online game industry.

Finally, I can’t wait to have my IC Ikuzo mint.

10. What excites you most about your launch and which date is your launch?

Launch date is April 13th on Entrepot.

What excites me the most is all the hype and interest that people organically show for the project, my Twitter account is mooning in followers and the promotion is on fire.

The kind words of appreciation for what we are building, by providing an affordable and high-quality NFT, touched our hearts.

11. Can you envisage a future where the most valuable NFT space is on the Internet Computer?

It will be, just a matter of time, the Internet Computer is the ultimate blockchain solution, and we are in the early days, so we feel blessed to be here talking with you guys.

12. Why do you think NFTs have become so valuable in such a short space of time?

Because people like the excitement of the experience. It´s not just the product but the whole experience overall. It´s something that is missing in many things nowadays, something to be proud of holding, maybe because you like the art, or as an investment, NFTs are the new cool kid in the crypto industry and they are here to stay forever.

13. Tell us about your team?

We are just 4 guys, Egido, DKLORD, Rick (DSCR), and Steve (Entrepot), we all share a passion for the Internet Computer and we try our best every day to provide the best art, innovation, and use case for the Internet Computer Protocol blockchain.

14. What advantages do you believe you have over other competitors?

Art. My art is not compared to any other competitor out there so this is the first key factor. I have original ideas to explore in this space that I haven´t seen before.

Community. We have a powerful stronghold, the OG Medals community because they share the same passion for the Internet Computer and value their NFTs as one of the most valuable assets currently in the market. Their loyalty and support for the project will guarantee the success of DKLORD's vision for future airdrops and ICP adoption.

1. Tell us about the challenges you have faced while building your project?

There´s a lot of work and reasoning to create a cool-looking collection in a cohesive, unique, and varied way.

It´s easy to make just one good-looking image but it´s way more difficult to make a complete collection that also looks good while keeping different brackets based on rarity that people can understand.

Technical challenges were surpassed due to the number of traits and the complexity of the intricated designs, but it was 100% worth it.

16 . What are your short and long-term achievements and targets?

Short term, a successful launch so we can have more people on board.

I have many ideas regarding merchandise in a more "art collector" oriented way so people can get excited about that product, something you can provide in real life.

Long-term targets are my art collections which are different one from another and will be airdropped to these IC Bucks holders.

I will support DKLORD89 in his vision for OG Medals holders because bringing quality to early web3 users is what we are all working for.

Public expositions are also considered, would be nice to meet OG Medals and IC Bucks holders in real life, all around the world!
