It should come as no surprise at this point that when Ludo and company deliver new NFTs on Entrepot, it basically places the rest of the market on temporary hold. It happened with Pineapple Punks, and ICP Flower has done it again. The 2,021 NFTs launched on Sunday, with all but 215 being dropped to holders of 1 BTC Flower + 1 ETH Flower.
The other 215 flowers were auctioned, starting at 215 ICP and reducing by 5 ICP every minute. None made it down below 25 ICP, and people who scored flowers at that price are already up almost 3x on the secondary market, with the floor price at 72.96 ICP on Monday, just about 6 hours after the seeds bloomed.
In fact, during the first six hours with the flowers revealed, the flowers did about 2k ICP in volume, bringing the total volume to more than 7.4k ICP. This makes it 36th all-time on the Entrepot marketplace so far, about a day and a half after launch.
DGDG.app Releases a New Feature Just in Time
First of all, the Flowers revealed themselves on DGDG.app even before they did on Entrepot. While I’m writing this, I still have to click on a seed to see the flower revealed. But on DGDG.app, you can see the flowers fully bloomed already.
Another great feature that pairs with this is the ability to make purchases directly from DGDG.app. I tried it out, and it worked flawlessly. The developer does take a small fee, but it’s a small price to pay for being able to find the exact rarity you want and purchase it before anyone else does. The time it takes to go back to the marketplace and find the NFT again may make the difference between finding a great deal and losing out on it to someone else.
But the latest feature added to the site is the ability to list NFTs. Something that really makes this a unique feature for me is that you can see what your cut will actually be. The site's fee and the royalty are factored in transparently, so when you click the button to list, you know exactly how much ICP you will receive when the NFT sells – no math required!
Yumi Drops a Bomb on the NFT Community
In a Twitter Space with InfinitySwap, Yumi revealed a partnership with ORIGYN Foundation to make their vision of selling verified IRL collectibles as NFTs a reality. I’m really looking forward to seeing how ORIGYN’s NFTs will be integrated into the Yumi marketplace. And we won’t have to wait long. They announced that the ORIGYN market would be integrated by the end of November! You can listen to the full AMA here.
Consistency Is a Must
While none of what I write in this weekly marketplace update is financial advice, I know that many in the community read it weekly to get an overview of what’s going on with IC NFTs. So I just want to let everyone know that I’m moving from the U.S. to Europe this weekend. I don’t anticipate an interruption in weekly publication, but I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up just in case the next article or two are shorter than usual. Once I’m all settled in, I’ll try to get back to business as usual as soon as possible.
Until next time #KeepBuilding
